Kid school snack idea alert!  I put this recipe together in my quest to be creative about school snacks. This combination is packed with so much goodness, you can't go wrong.  I've chatted alot about pumpkin seeds, so let's focus on chick peas (or garbanzo beans). The most obvious benefit is the protein, chickpeas pack a punch and will give your kids that extra protein power. The second benefit is the fiber, we all need fiber to make our gut work. Chick peas also show benefits of controlling blood sugar and manages insulin secreation, which will help your kids (and you) get to the next meal. This snack has been kid approved in my house!

  • 1 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1 can chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  6. add in 3/4 tsp of turmeric mixture to pumpkin seeds and stir

  7. spread seasoned pumpkin seeds over foiled sheet

  8. in seasoned empty bowl add in chickpeas and an additional 1/2 tsp of turmeric mixture, then stir
