This blood orange & mint smoothie does not disappoint and it makes for an amazing breakfast to kick start your day.  Blood oranges really should be enjoyed anyway possible when they are in season and when you add mint, I find the flavours irresistable.  Mint is such a fun ingredient but also can be quite medicinal.  It has antibacterial properties and does help with inflammation in the body but the real kicker is the fresh breath no? Mint combined with blood orange is something you do not want to miss out on!

Blood Orange & Mint Smoothie
  • 1 cup blood oranges (peeled)
  • 1 cup alternative milk
  • 1 handful Spinach
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 5 mint leaves
  • 1 handful ice
  1. Mix all ingredients in a blender

  2. Serve over ice and enjoy!
