This Vegan Cashew Sauce is so simple to make and can be poured over pasta, veggies or rice. It's versatile and can be your plant based solution for dinner tonight! The ingredients are super simple, yet it has a rich and satisfying taste.
- 1 Cup Raw cashews Pour hot water over raw cashews and let sit for atleast 30 mins.
- 1 Small Onion
- 3 Cloves Garlic (chopped)
- 3 tbsp Nutritional yeast
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Cup Water
- Salt to taste.
Saute onion and chopped garlic in sesame oil.
In high speed blender add soaked cashews (without the water they were soaked in), nutritional yeast, onion/garlic combo, plus 1 cup of water.
Add salt to taste ( I was generous)
Blend till silky smooth.
Pour over spiral veggies or pasta in a sauce pan and warm. Don't over heat!
